A resident of St. Petersburg, Oksana Kapkaeva, met one of the leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s Republic (DPR) militia, Roman Volyanyuk, who was planned to be kidnapped and handed over to the security Service of Ukraine (SBU), but failed the operation. About it reports to “Fontanka”.
According to the publication, a 49-year-old woman acted as a buyer of real estate in the Moscow suburb of Domodedovo, which was put up for sale by a militia member. The kidnapping plan was simple: the victim was neutralized with a stun gun, then loaded into the trunk and taken to the Russian-Ukrainian border, where they were handed over to the SBU.
On July 30, kapkayeva and Volyanyuk met, and He got into her Audi car to get money. The woman discharged a Taser at him, but the militia member fell out of the car and managed to escape. Wolanyk immediately turned to the FSB, which promptly identified and arrested all involved in the operation.
“Fontanka” notes that Kapkaeva has long-standing ties with Ukraine, but her accomplices were used in secret: they did not know about the purpose of kidnapping the militia. In addition, Volyanyuk himself is not the leader of the militia, he served as an ordinary intelligence officer. He was an ensign of the special forces of the Ministry of state security of the DPR. In Ukraine Wolanyk was wanted on charges of kidnapping of a person.
On 20 August it was reported that almost all charged with the attempted abduction of Valenica pleaded guilty. Seven Russians were detained in the case. According to the FSB, they were hired for 200 thousand dollars (14.9 million rubles) by Ukrainian citizens Andrey Baydala (alias Shved) and Igor Mishchenko. Baydala, according to the Russian investigation, is involved in the murder of the first head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko. Together with Mishchenko, he acted under the General direction of the head of the SBU counterintelligence Department, Alexander Rusnak, and the head of the fifth Department of this division, Alexander Poklad. Members of the Russian criminal structure were involved in the kidnapping.
